"I have trained with Jeff Wooten for the past two years. During that time, the benefits from that training have transformed from increased lean muscle, strength, flexibility, and endurance, into a lifestyle, one that is driven by a desire to be as healthy as possible.
Adopting an active and healthy lifestyle relieves you from having to continuously pose the question to yourself of 'whether to work out.' Instead, life and the way you live it naturally includes a variety of ways to stay healthy, including regular and rigorous physical activity and conditioning. Jeff's training prepares you to adopt this lifestyle and puts you in charge of it. If I were to name three strengths Jeff brings to his work, they would be his ability to connect to his diverse clients identifying and building upon their strengths and working through whatever mental or physical challenges they face; his superior knowledge about how the body and mind work; and his ability to develop and engender a long-term commitment in his clients to take charge of and improve their health."
"I would like to share my personal training experiences with Jeff. His training style and delivery makes it very enjoyable and infomative. I have gained flexibilty and used muscles I never knew I had. I have gained a wealth of knowledge in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu that I can employ with my career as a Police Officer. Jeff is a true asset to the BJJ and personal fitness domain. Great job Jeff keep up the good work... ."
I was a bit apprehensive about today's match because my heel was quite sore after the massage yesterday...especially after you put that 'cortisone shot ' (smile) right smack into the bottom of my heel!!!!
My name is Lilianna Fernandez. I'm a 17 year old elite-triathlete. I just recently competed in age group nationals in Vermont and qualified for World Championships next September in London! The excitement of this accomplishment can only be expressed because of Jeff Wooten and Mary Wire.
"Jeff's multi-discipline approach to fitness training fusing elements of Yoga with modern training principles combined with his own experience and formal study of human physiology has been of great benefit to me.
I believe his training has enabled me to continue participating in JiuJitsu at an age (39) where the majority of my training partners are 10-20 years younger."
"Great session. Came in with an open mind to the experience and was blown away. Definitely not a relaxing experience. If you want to lie there and have someone rub on you then choose a different massage. It was hard work but after my first session I am convinced it is well worth the effort. I had pain in my hip for two weeks, after the first session there is no pain in the hip. There is a lot of general soreness and some tightness that was causing the pain but that tells me I worked hard and the session was a huge success. Jeff was great at explaining what we were doing and why, everything he said made perfect sense. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone serious about improving their body."
I bought your Dynamic Power Breathing book a couple of months ago and love it. I started to work on the drills and have noticed a difference. I eventually want to try the power running drills. I think this book would really help people not only with asthma (like your daughter), but also people who suffer with High Blood Pressure. You should market it towards them. There aren’t any books out there like this, trust me I have looked into it."

"Jeff is my lead instructor for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I am a police officer in my 17th year and am the lead defensive tactics instructor for my agency. One of the side effects of being a police officer for this long is that I am very careful in who I trust, I suppose I am a little cynical.
The reason I'm telling you this is that I do not promote or endorse people or things I do not believe in. Jeff Wooten has gained my trust as a person and as an instructor. He is a very genuine person. He truly cares about what he does and would not impose things that do not merit being done. His teaching ability is phenomenal, as he always comes across as if you are the only one in the room. I have taken his breathing technique and power yoga and adapted it to be taught within the police department. Young or old, strong or weak, his techniques will work for you. I strongly encourage you to give his class a try."
"Jeff is a great motivator and one of the most energetic and positive people I have ever met. Although his approach is a lot different than most trainers, I have experienced significantly better results. As an 'over 50' adult, symptoms of arthritis, plantar fasciitis have disappeared, and I am more toned than I ever thought possible."
"I have known and worked out with Jeff Wooten for almost 18 years. I have seen him progress from martial arts student to martial arts instructor, fitness instructor, and massage therapist. No matter what endeavor Jeff undertakes, he is driven to succeed and meticulous in studying the subject, setting goals, and meeting goals.
From studying anatomy to aid in his understanding of “chin-na” (joint locks and pressure points) to reading the latest in fitness thought, Jeff breaks down each subject into its component parts until he understands the concepts at the basic level and rebuilds it to give him a clear picture of the discipline he’s studying. This gives him the ability to truly know a subject and to apply those principles to other disciplines, such as using Hung Gar techniques combined with power yoga to increase flexibility and conditioning or to using anatomy, science, and his own experiences to debunk fitness myths. In addition to living what he preaches, Jeff has the unique ability to bring out the most in people he works out with. He’s one of the few individuals I’ve had the pleasure to work out with that can push you to your physical limits and feel good doing it. A fantastic martial artist, both in Hung Gar and Jiu Jitsu, a superb massage therapist, and talented fitness trainer, Jeff is the one person I trust when it comes to designing and implementing fitness goals and training."
"Jeff Wooten is very knowledgeable about a subject largely ignored by organized medicine and even many in alternative therapies....that is the creeping loss of mobility and flexibility as we age and Jeff provides teaching in reversing this loss.
Never knew you could increase your strength while increasing your flexibility! Awesome experience!"
"I've been training in Martial Arts for over 14 years now, I'm 19. I've been through numerous cardio, weight, and fat burning exercises but none have yet to compare to Jeff Wooten's muscle endurance workout plan.
After pulling my lateral ligament in my left knee I had to sit out of Jiu Jitsiu and Muay Thai for serveral months, Jeff gave me the knowledge of why my knee was in so much pain and what I could do to treat it. Ever since then my knee has been healing quite nicely and I can still perform at 100% while working out! I've completely dropped all my other weight training exercises and converted to Jeff's muscle endurance workouts. He incorporates breathing, stretching (Power Yoga), and muscle enhancing workouts that promise you results FAST. Resistance, endruance, and muscle training are the key factors for winning a fight. After 4 months of Jeff's workouts I've gained 15 pounds on my bench. My flexibility and range of motion have increased too! I would never support a workout unless I thought it worked, and believe me this is the best workout I've had in my life. Nothing feels greater than to be able to gain strength, speed, and most of all STAMINA; totally naturally! Give it a shot! Jeff will gladly make you feel like you accomplished something at the end of his session!"
"Hi, Jeff. I just started on your breathing techniques and have seen some great results. I have been able to breathe my way through several attacks instead of using my inhaler! Thanks for your help!"
"Let me start by saying that I'm the type of person that keeps all their stress in their neck and shoulders. In fact the more stress I have in my life the more I look like a turtle going into it's shell. When it got so bad the my neck was disappearing a friend told me about Jeff and his wonderful Strength Stretching Massage. I went for my session and when I was done I was like a different person. I could actually stand up straight and like the turtle coming out of his shell I had a neck again. My shoulders were where they belonged and the weight on them was gone. Next I plan to try the DPT classes. Who knows by the time I'm done I'll be a whole new person"
"Thank you Jeff! Once again, I apologize for the keeping you at the Gym so late Wednesday, but when my mind is set on a problem, I am determined to solve it. You have really answered my question with this article. This gives me the perseverance to keep pushing myself, and that's all I needed. 'Suffering produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope.' That's the one really hit home. I don't expect a reply, because I know you are busy. I will see you Monday, and have an awesome weekend."
"Jeff, I really enjoyed your article on efitness, as a personal trainer and yoga studio owner/teacher I really felt it was right on the money. So many fitness tips are just the same old thing and they never push anyone. As a yoga teacher I am always expecting students to go the extra mile and ask more of themselves, your article was a breath of fresh air. Thank you!"
"I met Jeff at massage school and he impressed me with his in depth knowledge of the body’s musculature system as well as the minute details of the firing of the muscle fibers and the corresponding nervous system action. Jeff has given thorough attention to every detail of his training course.
His program will meet the needs of a wide variety of people, from those that are already in-shape and active to those who are ready to get in-shape but just can’t find the time to figure out what to do first. Jeff knows the right techniques to get the beginner going as well as fine tune the advanced athlete."
"I just turned 50 and while I have been exercising for most of my life, I was in a rut and knew that I needed some guidance on how to best change my routine to meet the challenges of an over 50 year old body.
I have been meeting with Jeff for almost a year and with his knowledge and support I am more flexible and stronger than I was in my 20s. Jeff never talks about what you can’t do only what you can and it is that kind of attitude that makes me want to try harder. I would recommend him to anyone that has a desire to start a new exercise regime or jump start an old one."
Thanks. You’ve given me a way to kick my own $ss. I need this, and I’m loving it. I’m really flushing a lot of crap out and it feels GOOOOD to purify this way!"
"I have been working out with Jeff Wooten for about 2 years now and I would have to say that I’m in the best shape of my life since high school. I know that might sound cliché for a 43 year old, but it is true! I have been a very active adult. Since my early 20’s, I’ve always participated in exercise classes and fitness programs; in addition, I’ve always maintained healthy eating habits. I always thought I was in decent shape but after working out with Jeff, I can now see drastic changes in my body shape that I know I can maintain for years to come.
I started to go to Jeff’s Dynamic Power Training classes in 2005 and met some of his other clients. I’ve also seen a drastic fitness improvement in these people as well. Most of them are women ranging in ages from mid 30’s to mid 50’s. All of our strength and flexibility has improved dramatically. What attributes to that success is a combination of Jeff’s motivational style and the exercises themselves. First off, Jeff really enjoys what he does so his motivation for our continued fitness improvements is evident. People naturally respond to positive encouragement and this is what I get and his other clients get both in the classes and in the personal training sessions. Secondly, the exercises themselves are very challenging but they can be accomplished by anyone. I was a beginner with them once and I improved gradually and I still today improve doing some of the same movements.
I would encourage anyone to at least try his workout programs. I think once you try you will be hooked because of both the improvements you see and the fact that it just plain fun!"
"Jeff, I just wanted to e-mail you and say thanks! Yesterday was of course Easter and I found myself at a friend’s party with of course tons of great foods. My favorite of which was bread dip. I started ediets on December 27, 2005 and have since lost 30 pounds.
I have been working out 5 days a week and eating better. The bread dip was a treat but after I felt so guilty like all my hard work was for nothing, then I come into work and see your article about cheating every once in a while. It really hit home and made me realize I did not sabotage all my efforts, I ate some bread dip. I don’t do it all the time. So thank you for helping me realize I don’t have to beat myself up its ok. You really have no idea how much reading your article helped!!!! Thanks so much."
"Even though I play tennis about 5-6 times / week, I know I need to cross train in order to be as healthy as possible and to perform better on the courts. DPT is the perfect addition to my exercise routine. Not only am I slimming down (lost a couple of pounds this month alone) but I'm stronger and much more flexible. This has translated into much better performance on the courts. In fact yesterday I played in a tennis tournament which included 4.5 hours of playing time on the courts THEN went to the DPT class at 5 pm. Only a couple of months ago, I couldn't do a class and play a match in the same day. Now, I'm much more fit and feel absolutely great.
Every time that I leave a DPT class, I feel great. Not only because I accomplished something but because my body feels flexible and strong. Since re-committing to attend twice per week, I am moving beyond and repairing my old injuries of tennis elbow, achilles issues, and a very old rotator cuff problem. Everyone in the class is always so encouraging. DPT has been the best thing that I've done to improve my tennis all year! Thanks, Jeff for all of the encouragement and interesting and fun classes."
"Hi Jeff! I just bought the bridge video and watched it. I liked it a lot because I had been doing the bridge since I had bought your other e-book like 2 months ago where you had a report about the bridge and back pain.
It is the bridge the best ever exercise I have done to reduce the pain in my lower back. I even have started to run again like I use to do 3 years ago and surely it's thanks to the bridge. Now I can see the technique to do it and I hope it will be even better.
Don't you have any other technique like this to avoid hurting the knees? I love running and even though I do it on grass, time-to-time acute pains set me limp. Ok Jeff, thanks for one of the greatest tip I ever heard. I know I have serious disk problems following EMR tests but this has really helped. A lot of drugs have been avoided and this is good. God bless you and you family."
"Thank you, Jeff, for your wisdom and coaching. I will be more than happy to share my journey with ANY new clients that you may be speaking with. To date, I have lost 12 pounds, (I do not know how many inches, only that a size 6 is now a size 2), and that I am MOST IMPORTANTLY----STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!!!
Your patience with me, with all of my fears of injury, is indescribable. Your ability to challenge me is undeniable. You have nursed me from "injured" to "able", and for that, I will always be grateful.
Again, thank you for this amazing journey. I can't wait to see what else I may learn from you in our next sessions."
