"Who is the Body Mechanic?"
Jeff Wooten, Fitness Trainer and Licensed Massage Therapist
Jeff Wooten is a Licensed Massage Therapist in North Carolina (LMBT #4626). Jeff is also a Certified Fitness Trainer
and Certified Specialist in Martial Arts Conditioning through the ISSA. Aside from his personal fitness
training, Jeff currently practices and teaches martial arts in Raleigh, N.C. Jeff is also a certified CPR
and First Aid instructor for the Triangle Area Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Jeff was born in Beaumont, Tx, and grew up in North Carolina. In 1987, while still a student at North Carolina
State University, Jeff began an intense study of a southern Shaolin Kung Fu System called, Hung Gar. While
studying Hung Gar, Jeff learned a lot about the eastern philosophy of fitness and conditioning, and how this
philosophy differed from some of the ideas of the west. Jeff continued to learn about the philosophies of the
east when he began to study Power Yoga.
The combination of Jeff's eclectic fitness and conditioning training with his study of massage therapy, has
allowed him to optimize his own training regimen. This regimen is centered around calisthenic exercises and
bodywork therapy. And it is because of Jeff's intense beliefs on these matters, and his constant research into
how one can improve one's fitness and conditioning, he is known as "The Body Mechanic".
Jeff's goal is to spread his brand of fitness to everyone in which he comes into contact.
